After reaching a weight of half a kilogram in established farms in inland waters, rainbow trout, which is grown in farms in the Black Sea and marketed as “Turkish salmon”, have been increasing its importance in Turkish aquaculture sector and have been one of the most exported species in Türkiye.

Turkish salmon is grown especially in the Black Sea Region. Thanks to serious trial production of this fish, which started about 5 years ago, the production as well as the exportation of Turkish salmon has been increasing every year
